just trusting a stranger. Lotus Convert never asks you to make that bet. Every tool here
runs using capabilities your browser already has built in, the same rendering and decoding engine it uses
to display web pages and play videos, so your file gets converted directly on your own device. It never
leaves. You could turn your Wi-Fi off after the page loads and every tool here would still work fine.
Here's what's actually happening under the hood: image conversion uses your browser's own Canvas tool to read
the picture and spit it back out in a new format. Merging and compressing PDFs runs on a PDF library that
loads into your browser and works locally. Turning PDF pages into images uses your browser's built-in PDF
renderer. Background removal grabs a small AI model once (so after that it can run offline) and does the rest
on your device. The only thing that ever touches the network is loading the tool itself and the ads. Your
actual files never do.
